A SUCCESSFUL MONTH

For me, February was a successful month both on and of the pitch. 6 out 9 points in the league is a good result for any club, especially one in the bottom half of the division. I would like to give a warm welcome to our new signings, Mason Willey and one of the leagues current top goal scorers Russell Smith who signed for us just in time to face his former club Cuxton Autos. We are very pleased to have both players on board and I wish them a long and happy stay with us.

On the day, the early exit from the charity cup may have seemed a large disappointment. I'm with the next man who wants to win every game, but at least our fixture list will be freed to allow us to catch up on some of the missed games during the winters bad weather spell. One thing I have noticed lately is the growing support we have been getting from the sidelines, its fantastic to see new faces cheering us on, I know us players really respond well when we can hear the excitement brewing from the “dare I say it” fans. You may be aware that I have asked Dan and the management team to start preparing for next season early. I am impressed at how quickly the team has began to gel this season, and firmly believe that with the correct planning now, we will be able to really achieve greater things in the not so distant future. The management will be working closely with some of our players to help them improve and add greater value to the squad, thus giving them the best chance to be asked to step out again next season.

Looking ahead to March, we expect a tough games in playing Inter Gills & Riverview but I am sure Dan will prepare the team in such a way that will give us as much chance as any team to get the result we all wont.
